We are designers of Interior and Exhibition spaces. Taking a space and designing it to your needs, giving it its own personality and copyrighting the environment for your brand to live within, is the core of what we do.
As a multi-disciplinary design practice, our objective is to deliver commercially successful projects to meet your marketing and commercial objectives.
We believe the design quality of the built environment directly influences the way we live our lives and we aim to make that interaction an enjoyable and rewarding experience.
MDP opened their doors for business in 1990 on Lad Lane, Dublin 4 and quickly gained recognition for their creative skill by winning numerous clients at the Dublin Motor Show. As a design-led consultancy, they were consciously positioned apart from contracting houses to offer clients independent and objective solutions across a range of design disciplines.
In 1992 they were appointed as interior designers for the Irish Pavillion at the World Expo in Seville, which provided opportunities to develop their skills in the provision of museum and interpretative design services. Over the next few years, MDP designed and delivered numerous heritage projects throughout Ireland with responsibility for all aspects of the project from scriptwriting to audio visual services, graphic and spatial design as well as project management contracting of all deliverables.
In 1994, MDP won the tender for the design and management of the Alliance stand at Miptv in Cannes. It was to be the first project of a 14-year relationship with the Canadian production company, a relationship that opened many opportunities to develop business at this prestigious festival. Over the years, MDP have delivered numerous projects at this venue for clients such as CBC, RHI Entertainment, and World Wrestling Entertainment.
In 1990 MDP created a new look for the Shelbourne Hotel in Dublin with the opening of the “Side Door” restaurant, as well as the refurbishment to the No. 27 Restaurant and the Horse Shoe Bar. Over the following years, we developed our services in the leisure and business sector with the Design of the Clarion Hotel in Limerick and the Rushbrook Hotel in Cobh.
The last 5 years have provided opportunities for growth, particularly in the retail and leisure business and MDP have developed close working relationships with clients such as Hughes &Hughes Bookstores and the Eddie Rockets in the completion of projects nationwide. As the Irish economy grew, MDP grew in tandem, but consciously controlled its growth through quality services, in its design and in its client relations. MDP continues to grow through the constant development of its systems, the skilled development of its design product and valued development of its services to its clients.
